Snotty Autumn!

Andrew has a nasty bug at the moment, poor wee sausage. His temp was 39 the other day,
and he is pretty miserable..... I took him to the park to cheer him up and plopped him in the autumn leaves.....

ONE YEAR OLD!!!!!!!!

Man, I can't believe that he is one! Sometimes I still cant believe he is my baby-boy!
Andrew is now a master crawler and I would predict he will be walking in the next couple of months. So cute!!!! Here he is at Milford Beach... summer is still hanging on just a little....

Kwila Cage

This is Andrew leaning up against the play pen which has become Kwila's protection!
I have it around her bed with a sneaky little backdoor that she can get in. Andrew is
in her face all day long otherwise! Now he just stands on the otherside of the bars and
looks at her!

Our budding opera singer!!

OK, he wasnt opera singing, but the passion was there! He just loves to yell!

Andrew has been crawling for nearly a month now, and aparently on average a crawling baby goes 200 metres a day, and I can believe that! So after 5 days he has crawled a kilometre! and after 7 days 1,400 metres and after a month about 5.5k! Incredible... he has just about made it out to your house mum!

He is climbing and standing on everything and exploring everything and pulling everything and is generally a very happy baby. Tomorrow is he 10 Months old! I can't believe how fast the time has gone, and how I have forgotten those crazy newborn times!

I start work next week and Andrew is going into a homecare situation with three other kiddies. I am trying to be brave, but it is going to be hard leaving him
with strangers! It is a huge leap of trust.

Andrew has loads and loads of toys. But alas, a balloon as kept him occupied all afternoon.

Long Time - No Post!

Hello!

Well since Christmas, Drew is sitting up, attempting crawling - he gets up on his knee's and sorta wobbles forward and then flops onto his belly and then all four limbs go at it like a fish flapping on the sand. Quite sweet really.

He is finally taking the bottle, so we are introducing some formula feeds and will look at weaning over the next few months. I want to ease him into it as he still needs boobie-conforting from time to time, so we'll see how we go.

He has been a really lovely angel-baby lately. Going down for all his naps and generally being such a wee sausage!

I am starting work again soon, so 2-3 days of daycare for him from early March. I am researching local daycare at the moment. Can't say I am too keen on not being with him for more than a few hours!

Anyhoo.

Here is Drew is his wee Dungaree's that Kelly and Steve give him! Thanks Kelly & Steve! He looks so cute in them!

He has been a really smiley little lad of late. He smiles at everyone in the shops and passers-by. So cuuuuuuuuuuute.

Solid food is going well, he has a jar or two of something fruity or yellow each day! (pumpkin, kumera, sweetcorn, pears, apples)

He has also started to really try to crawl. He gets up on his knee's momentarily, bum in the air and everything!!

Aunty Jody & Uncle Dave fly off to Rarotonga today and then back home in England via the states! Good Luck you guys! It was good to see you. Come back soon! Go on!

Grizzly

Andrew had his 5 month vaccinations the other week. I waited until he was older though, he is actually 7 months! He was okay. Just a little grizzly and had a minor temperature hence the cold flannel!

BATH!!

He pulls some hilarious faces in the bath. He just loves it.

SOLIDS

After a few weeks of building up his solids, this was his

first time eating a fairly massive helping of Farex mixed with pears.
I was quite amazed at how much he ate!! and that night.....
He slept 6 hours, the following night he slept 7! I am glad I am
getting sleep, but also glad that he is. I think he has been a little tired
just trying to get fed! Poor wee fella.....

We are sticking to Farex and pears until he is 7 months, and then I am
going to start introducing some new fruit and vegies.

He is still on a bottle strike however. Grr. missing a girls night this Friday!

Swimming Again!!

Andrew went under for the first time today!! He did so well. He had hiccups afterwards though, so I am guessing he swallowed some!!! But no spluttering, seemed quite relaxed about it!!
